“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” — Albert Camus
As the gold and amber hues settle quietly over our campus paths, we are reminded of the beautiful transformations taking place within our classrooms. Our children have settled wonderfully into their routines, forming friendships, tending to our community garden, and filling our corridors with curiosity and laughter.
In this month’s edition, we share details about our upcoming Harvest Assembly, updates from the classroom woodshops, and volunteer opportunities for our annual Fall Lantern Walk. We are so grateful to have you walking this path with us.
Warmly, Elena Rosales Head of School

The Annual Autumn Lantern Walk
Join us under the dusk canopy on November 5th. Students in grades 1-5 have begun crafting their custom tissue-paper and watercolor lanterns. We will gather at the Meadow Gate at 5:30 PM for folk songs, warm cider, and a silent, lantern-lit stroll through the school woods.
Our Middle School gardeners celebrated an incredible yield of heirloom apples, winter squashes, and native herbs from the garden plots. Freshly packed baskets will be available on the East Patio this Friday during afternoon pickup. Proceeds go towards purchasing cold-frame covers for our winter kale beds.
